Journey for the missing sister!

Post by Nikola on Tue Feb 23, 2016 3:40 am

Nikola left the dance, pulling on a jacket. Knowing it was going to get cold soon, then looked over to Zak. "So where is the contest?" She asked with a raised eyebrow, knowing they would have to start moving soon.

"I think its that way." He pointed, pulling his cape further round him as the cold wind got stronger.

Nikola blinked, "didn't you say something about a hotel or contest before?" She said, following Zak. Wishing she had found a way to bring Zakvat with her.

Zak glanced at Nikola, confused. "Are you feeling okay?" He asked, "We can go to the hotel or the contest. You choose." He said.

Nikola chuckled and nodded, "Ya I am feeling fine. But you know your sister better, so you choose where we should go." She said shaking her head, after all how would she know where to find her?

"I guess the hotel is the best idea." Zak said, gesturing towards a small side street. "Its this way." He said, confidently striding towards the shady-looking alley.

She wasn't so sure about going into such a shady alley, but shrugged and thanked her demon blood for whatever would happen. Before following Zak, ready for anything

Zak stopped suddenly as they passed a boarded up window, voices could just be heard from inside, although the place looked abandoned, he paled as he turned to Nikola.

"This used to be the hotel." He whispered, leaning against the boarded window to listen in.

'What about the girl?' Said the first voice,

'Dunno. Cant let her go, shell squeal.' The second voice huffed,

'But if we do get caught, well serve even more time if we kill her.'

Hed heard enough, he glanced back up at Nikola. 'Someones in trouble, wether its Mel or not, we should help them." He whispered, hoping shed heard the conversation too.

Nikola sighed, but nodded. Taking her gloves off and stashed them in her bag, "ready when you are." She said in a whisper.

"Do you need a weapon?" He asked, offering her his sword before he drew his bow, and kicked the boards out of the way, glaring at the two men inside. Both of them quikly pulled on masks and drew out dark, serrated swords.

Nikola shook her head and gave the sword back, "I have my own weapons should i need them." Then followed Zak in, saw the duo pull serrated blades and stared at them for a second. Before sighing almost disappointedly, "really that is the best blade you got? You even covered it with such a lame poison."

Zak pulled his hood up, firing the arrow at the bandits shoulder, darting into the shadows and running towards the girl tied up, narrowly dodging the shorter bandits blade as he caught up ith him.

Nikola ran at the two, dodging the blades. Before hitting them hard in the sides, just below their stomachs. Before jumping back again, keeping her eyes on the two, but not looking at the girl.

Zak glanced behind him to see Nikola had both men occupied, so he dropped to his knees to untie the girl, his bow left by his side on the ground.
As he was untying her, he saw who it was, "Mel?!" He asked, despite the darkness there was no doubtit was her.
"Zak?!" She cried, "Zak i'm sorry, I overheard them, talking and then... And then..."
"Shut up." He said, hugging her, his smile not fading despite the men behind. "Ill get you out of here safe." He promised, getting out his knife and sawing at the ropes.

"Thanks." Mel said, now standing, rubbing her wrists slightly. She drew out her knife, nudging Zak towards the fight. "We should help your friend." She said, letting out a yel as she charged one of the men.
Zak picked up his bow and got tried to aim, but Nikola and Melody were too close to them, so he drew his sword and tried to melt into the shadows and get them from behind.

It wasn't long before the guys were defeated. So Nikola pulled out a length of rope, tying both of them up. Then searching them and tossing anything they could use to break free, way out of reach.

"Thankyou, both of you." Melody said, bowing her head slightly. "Zak, its good to see you again." She said sweetly.

"Names Melody. Everyone just calls me Mel though." She said, putting her hand out to shake.

"So... What happened?" Zak asked her, realising they should probably find the guards and report these men.

"I came here, and saw the place was abandoned. I didnt have anywhere else to stay so I sneaked in anyway. Ive stayed in much worse placesthan an abandoned hotel." She laughed.
"Anyway I came across the stuff these guys had stolen and heard them talking. They caught me, didnt want me to go and rat them out to the guard." She sighed.

"Well, me and Nikola were going to go and explore some caves..." Zak said as they walked. Mel smiled, putting her hand on his shoulder.
"Go ahead. I want to stay here a while, that okay? Besides, Marias not expecting me back for another week. I would have been screwed if you hadnt found me." She laughed.

"Its not something to laugh about! You need to be more careful, im not always going to get to you on time." He said, starting to oanic slightly. Melody stood in front if him as he came to a halt, glaring at her.

"Oh, Zak..." She said, her smile fading before she leaned in to hug him. "Goodbye. Ill be safe, promise. You too. Dont get anymore scars okay?" She said, poking the scar on his cheek. He smiled, nodding. "See you back home?" He asked.
"Yup. See you back home." She said, giving him another quik hug, and waving bye to Nikola and Zak as she headed towards the town centre.

"So, ready to see those caves again?" He asked Nikola.

She chuckled and waited for the two finish. Glad to see the siblings were so close. Which was why she didn't mind waiting, after all when was the last time she saw her siblings?

When Zak asked if she was ready, Nikola nodded. "Yes I am, so lets go see if we can find a boat to my homelands." She said, turning away and started to head toward the direction, she knew was the coast was.

After waving bye to Mel again, Zak ran to catch up with Nikola. "Will there be any boats leaving this late at night?" He asked.
